2023 Kir-Yianni Estate The North Assyrtiko PGI Florina, Macedonia, Greece

Kir-Yianni was founded by Yiannis Boutaris in 1997 after he left the historic Boutari family winery. The estate focuses on high-altitude vineyards in northern Greece, particularly in Naoussa and Amyndeon. “The North” highlights Assyrtiko grown in Macedonia rather than its traditional home in Santorini. Lemon zest, green apple, and grapefruit with notes of wet stone and sea spray. The palate is crisp and structured with bright acidity and a long mineral finish.
