2013 Coche-Dury Corton Grand Cru, Cote de Beaune, France

Sale price$1,600.00

The 2013 Corton Grand Cru is one of the rarest wines ever produced by Coche-Dury: a one-vintage-only red Burgundy made from Pinot Noir vines in a Corton parcel newly acquired by Jean-François Coche. The domaine always intended to remove the vines after the 2013 harvest and replant the site to Chardonnay, making this the sole vintage of the wine; only two barrels, roughly 600 bottles, were produced. With bottle age, the wine shows cranberry, raspberry, forest floor, autumn leaves, iron, and savory spice across a firm, structured palate with fresh acidity and a distinctly rustic, mineral finish.
