2009 Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac, France

Sale price$135.00

Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is a Fifth Growth of the 1855 Classification and one of Pauillac’s classic Cabernet-driven estates, with its contiguous vineyard planted on deep gravel soils west of the village. The 2009 is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, combining the generosity of the warm vintage with the château’s hallmark structure and restraint. Black currant, blackberry, violet, cedar, graphite, tobacco, and crushed stone unfold across a concentrated yet polished palate with velvety tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, classically Pauillac finish.
