Thierry Allemand’s Reynard is the domaine’s deepest expression of Cornas, produced from his older Syrah vines rooted in the appellation’s steep granite slopes. The 2006 vintage is especially compelling for its balance, combining the power and concentration of Reynard with unusual freshness and aromatic precision. Fermented with whole clusters and raised with minimal intervention in seasoned wood, it has developed beautifully with age. Blackberry, boysenberry, lavender, iron, licorice, black pepper, and crushed stone unfold across a muscular yet energetic palate, with firm tannins, bright acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish.
