2002 Rubicon Estate Inglenook 'Rubicon' Red, Rutherford, USA

Sale price$120.00

Rubicon is the flagship wine of the historic Inglenook estate, produced from organically farmed vineyards on the western Rutherford Bench. The 2002 vintage was a milestone: it was the first Cabernet-based wine made inside the restored Inglenook Chateau in 36 years and coincided with the estate’s renaming as Rubicon Estate. A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot, it was aged entirely in new French oak. Black cherry, cassis, violet, cocoa, vanilla, and black licorice unfold across a rich, powerful palate with ripe tannins, impressive depth, and a long, polished finish.
