2000 Harlan Estate, Napa Valley, USA

Sale price$899.00

Harlan Estate was founded with Bill Harlan’s ambition to create a California “First Growth,” and its flagship wine comes from steep hillside vineyards in the western hills of Oakville, where vines grow in sparse soils over fractured volcanic and sedimentary rock. The cool, extended 2000 growing season produced a more restrained and classically proportioned Harlan, with harvest stretching from September 11 through October 24. Black currant, black cherry, roasted coffee, cedar, tobacco, mocha, leather, and spice unfold across an elegant, layered palate with silky texture, softened tannins, and a long, persistent finish.
