2023 Love & Terroir "Melville Vineyard" Chardonnay
Introducing our inaugural vintage of Chardonnay, crafted from Wente clone vines planted in 1985. Grown in a cool pocket of sandy vineyards, our grapes are gently buffeted by ocean winds, resulting in a wine of exceptional purity and elegance.
Named after the small chapel nestled among the vines, our Chardonnay is a true expression of its terroir. Fermented in neutral barrels with native yeast and no malolactic fermentation, it showcases a classic, crisp style of Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes:
With 13.1% alcohol content and aged in just four barrels, our Chardonnay is a testament to our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Delicate aromas of citrus and stone fruit lead to a palate of vibrant acidity and subtle minerality, culminating in a long, refreshing finish.
